Who We Are
The Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, scientific organization registered in Nigeria whose major function is to promote teaching and research in Neuroscience in Nigeria. NSN organizes conferences annually and several workshops in various Universities within Nigeria.
Our Story
We are the single largest scientific organization in Nigeria whose membership comprises of natural/biomedical scientists (Neuroanatomists, Neurophysiologists, Neuropharmacologists, Neurochemists e.t.c), social scientists (Psychologists, Neurolinguists, sociologists e.t.c) and clinicians (Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Anaaesthesiologists, Neuropathologists e.t.c) working on brain and brain-related functions and disorders. The brain (and associated areas) is by far the most important organ of the body that controls all other functions of the body. Through the brain we think, speak, eat, walk.. arises our joy, sorrow, grief.. It’s understanding is thus very essential and requires a holistic and collaborative approach.
